Take the 405 Freeway (north or south) and exit Venice Blvd., driving west to reach Abbot Kinney Blvd.
NOTE: The Abbot Kinney Festival and the Los Angeles Triathlon have worked together to minimize early-morning inconveniences that any street closures for both events may cause. Festival organizers have been informed that the westbound lanes of Venice Boulevard (which lead to the festival) will be kept open at all times and that the eastbound lanes of Venice Boulevard are expected to be open no later than 11 AM.
• PARKING: Look for spaces along Venice Blvd. west of Lincoln Blvd. and along Main St. Public parking lots are available on Venice Beach, but spaces fill up early. Several private parking lots are located near Windward and one is at Westminster Elementary School on Main St. between Brooks Ave. and Westminster Ave. Additional parking lots can be found along Electric Ave., Washington Blvd. (south of Venice Blvd.) near Venice Pier, and in Marina del Rey.
JUST ADDED: Parking at Venice High (13000 Venice Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90066 – enter on Walgrove Ave.) – $5 donation to the school’s booster club is suggested and take a complimentary shuttle to the festival.
• PUBLIC TRANSIT: Several citywide Metro routes serve Venice. Visit www.metro.net. Routes 1 and 2 of Santa Monica’s Big Blue Bus stop near Abbot Kinney Blvd. Visit www.bigbluebus.com for details.The free Playa Vista Beach Shuttle stops at Venice Blvd. and Abbot Kinney Blvd. in addition to Admiralty Way, Washington Blvd., Fisherman’s Village, and Playa Vista.
• FREE BIKE VALET STATIONS: Ride to the festival and park your bicycles at the FREE bike valet stations on Broadway Court and Milwood Avenue.
• CARPOOL: Drive with a friend to reduce carbon emissions.
